Retrospective - MUHS Career Days 2023

The MUHS Career Days for doctoral students and postdocs of MUHS took place for the third time on 9/10 November 2023. The event kicked off on 9 November with four MUHS alumni who left the university for jobs in industry, start-ups and self-employment. Debbie Radtke (iGRAD) moderated the panel discussion and established a good connection between the audience and guests. After the panel discussion, all interested parties were able to exchange ideas with the experts at themed tables, ask their career-related questions and receive important tips for applications and job interviews.

On day 2 of the Career Days, which took place on 10 November in the virtual discussion room, the focus was on other alumni and guests. They reported on their career considerations, coincidences and active endeavours for jobs. In nine online sessions, which addressed both humanities graduates as well as natural and life science researchers, there was eager discussion and questions.
With 65 participants at the face-to-face event and up to 100 participants in the respective online sessions, the Career Days 2023 were a great success. The organisers of the Heine Research Academies and other MUHS research networks were very satisfied.
The next Career Days for doctoral students and postdocs are planned for 2025.
