"KI für Lehrende" now available on KI-Campus

What can you expect?

Since August 2025, HeiCAD at Marien University Hospital & School Gelsenkirchen has been offering all teaching staff a new online course on generative artificial intelligence. The online course “KI für Lehrende” is designed as a flexible self-study course and is aimed specifically at academic teachers who want to familiarize themselves with the benefits and challenges of generative AI.

The course consists of four blocks that build upon each other and shed light on technical basics, ethical and legal issues as well as specific didactic applications of generative AI in the academic field. The content is conveyed in short video sequences (Ø 6 minutes), accompanying transcripts and interactive reflection questions.

The aim is to support lecturers in developing realistic expectations of AI tools and to promote a reflective, legally compliant approach to them - especially with regard to examinations and performance assessments.

How can you register?

All materials are available as Open Educational Resources (OER) under a Creative Commons license. The course is freely accessible via the KI-Campus. Registration on the platform is required to access all content.
