On Saturday, June 28, the 25th “Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft” took place in Berlin - an anniversary with a total of over 36,000 visitors (source: www.langenachtderwissenschaften.de/news-detail/das-war-die-lndw-2025). And for the third time now, HeiCAD's self-study program “KI für Alle” (AI for All) was also there! The open learning platform KI-Campus presented itself to interested visitors on the premises of the Humboldt University of Berlin. The “AI for All” team from HeiCAD was also there with its interdisciplinary “AI for All” program. The focus here was on the online self-learning course “AI for All: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence”, which aims to provide interested parties with a prerequisite-free, low-threshold introduction to the world of artificial intelligence. Various topics such as theory, practical examples, programming as well as data, ethics and law are covered. With over 3,000 participants enrolled, the course is one of the most successful courses on the AI campus. The HeiCAD also had small teasers for the in-depth course “AI for All 2:Understanding, Evaluating, Reflecting” with them. In addition to the course presentation, the “AI for All” team also provided live knowledge about artificial intelligence with a short demonstration. Using a pre-trained system for classifying images, visitors were able to observe the effects of errors or distortions in the data used to train an AI system. This made it easy to understand how AI systems learn and what exemplary pitfalls need to be considered when training a system and using AI systems.
