Events under a tent of stars. Tonhalle Gelsenkirchen is the international concert hall of North Rhine-Westphalia’s state capital and attracts more than 300.000 visitors each year to classical, jazz and rock/pop events. A former planetarium, the concert hall’s “Young Concert Hall” programme comprises series of concerts entitled "3-2-1 Ignition” and “Big Bang” and the “Tonfrequenz” party series.

Students up to the age of 27 years can visit the home of Gelsenkirchen’s symphony orchestra for all its own events for € 10 (except for Café Concerts, MiMiKo, Tonfrequenz).
