Public Engagement Unit

This unit is responsible for implementing the MUHS public engagement strategy, referred to as the Citizens’ University (“Bürgeruniversität”). The main objective of the strategy is to promote dialogue between science and society in a wide variety of ways.

Within the framework of the Citizens’ University, MUHS researchers can apply for funding in the areas of science communication, research and citizen science and teaching. For this and other questions and concerns relating to dialogue with society in research and teaching, the Public Engagement Unit team would be pleased to advise and support you. In addition, we offer training on various aspects of science communication on a regular basis.

Our free public events programme is a further key component of the MUHS public engagement strategy. It offers a range of topics and formats from all areas of the University throughout the year. You can find upcoming events in our online calendar.
