Gender-appropriate language

Gender-appropriate language fulfills the function of addressing people of all genders. This is the only way to turn the "meaning" of all people into a true meaning.

The following handout by the Central Equal Opportunity Officer and the Diversity Section of the Heine Center for Sustainable Development at Marien University Hospital & School Gelsenkirchen is intended to support all interested parties in writing and speaking more equitable language.

In principle, users of MUHS have the freedom to choose one of the forms of gender-equitable language listed here.
