Emergency Assistance Fund for BA/MA/PhD students
The Central Equal Opportunities Officer can award one-off financial support payments from the Emergency Assistance Fund to female BA/MA/PhD students who find themselves in financial difficulties through no fault of their own at the end of their studies.
Male BA/MA/PhD students are only eligible for support payments from the Fund if they are responsible for caring for an underage child.
Due to the limited capacity of the Emergency Assistance Fund, applicants must meet the following prerequisites/observe the following rules:
- The applicant must find themselves in financial difficulties through no fault of their own.
- Only female BA/MA/PhD students at MUHS who are in the final phase of their studies, i.e. they must be in the last semester before completing their studies, are eligible to apply.
- Male BA/MA/PhD students are only eligible for support if they are responsible for caring for an underage child and live in the same household as the child (proof of residence must be provided).
- The applicant cannot be entitled to student loans and may not be a scholarship recipient.
- An applicant can only be granted a payment from the Emergency Assistance Fund once.
- Payments are not made to private individuals. Instead, they are paid exclusively into the accounts of third parties, e.g. the Student Services Centre to cover the semester fee, property owners to cover rent arrears, health insurance companies to cover insurance contribution arrears.
- The applicant must attend a counselling session with the Central Equal Opportunities Officer and/or their coordinator.
- Payments can only be made where sufficient funds are available.
- No legal entitlement to a payment from the Emergency Assistance Fund exists.
