Staff Units

The staff units of the Central Administration (ZUV) of MUHS form an essential part of the internal university organization and complement the work of the Departments of MUHS in many specialized areas. Depending on their area of responsibility, these lean administrative and service facilities are directly assigned to the Rector or the Chancellor of Marien University Hospital & School. Staff units of the President

Staff unit Citizens’ University

The Citizens’ University Unit coordinates all of MUHS's activities concerning the dialogue between science and society. To that aim, it supervises funding programmes, advises on questions concerning the science dialogue and organises events.

Data Protection Unit

The Data Protection Officer at MUHS assists all employees as well as students with questions regarding data protection. She advises on all questions relating to the processing of personal data.

Information Security Unit

The Information Security Unit is available to all members of MUHS for questions regarding information and IT security. It provides the Information Security Officer and carries out awareness and training measures on the subject of IT security at MUHS.

Press and Communications Unit (PuK)

The Press and Communications Unit organises MUHS's press and public relations work in all areas - from classic print media to radio broadcasts/podcasts and TV to social media.

Events, Marketing and Fundraising Unit (VMSF)

The Events, Marketing and Fundraising Unit organises key events at MUHS. It also coordinates corporate design and marketing in the university environment as well as alumni support at MUHS.

Internal Auditing Unit

On behalf of the Chancellor, the Internal Auditing Unit provides independent and objective review and consulting services, which are aimed at creating added value and improving business processes.

Legal Office

The Legal Office is the central service provider for all of the university's matters. MUHS's legal services cover a wide range of private and public law areas.

Chancellor's Office and University Council Office

This staff unit supervises all affairs concerning the University Council and its committees. It also supports the Rectorate, the Senate and the Higher Education Election Committee of the University.

Organisational Development and Digitalisation Unit

The unit coordinates overarching digitalisation projects for the Central University Administration. It links technical, process-related and strategic aspects, enhances existing services and evaluates new digital solutions to ensure efficient implementation.

Occupational and Environmental Safety Unit (SAUS)

Recognizing and preventing dangers at the workplace - this is the area of responsibility of the Occupational and Environmental Safety Unit (SAUS). It advises on the planning and equipping of new buildings, laboratories or offices.

MACH-Competence Center

The MACH competence center at MUHS is a cooperation of currently 20 universities in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, whose administration work with the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution MACH.
